Sub folder for side EIA game
Setting this up for posting game materials, side selection, etc.
Re: Sub folder for side EIA game
Apologies on the delay...the table registration is in the works, so I now want to pre-work as much as we can before February. I believe we have 8 interested although that may change and/or two could split a power (which I'm fine with).
As mentioned in the other thread I think we can make good progress in a week on the 1813-1815 scenario.
To recap, France is at war with everyone except Turkey and Austria. Turkey and Russia have an enforced peace until 1814 and Austria and France have an enforced peace for the first three turns.
In terms of power selection, Turkey will probably be the least involved power to play, followed IMO by Spain, Prussia, Austria, Russia, Britain, and France.
Due to me overseeing the game as well as being inexperienced (despite enthusiastic), I don't want to drive a major power like France or Britain. Let's start by seeing if there is anyone really interested in (and capable of) playing one of those two, particularly France. After we get that nailed down, we can work on the remainder.

Re: Sub folder for side EIA game
Did you look at that link I sent you earlier this year about all the EIA resources? It looks like there are different rule sets that have evolved the original rules over time.
Re: Sub folder for side EIA game
I looked at them at the time but don't have the link now. If I recall, some of the changes were pretty extensive.

EIA players:
I'm in the process of soloing the beginning of the 1813 campaign to reacquaint myself with the rules and turn flow. Also creating some record sheets and play aids to speed things up. Fortunately we don't have an economic phase for 3 turns so can mostly dive into the meat of the game.
The major activity at start is between France, Russia and Prussia, but even that is only 2 or 3 stacks and a battle or two a turn. Britain and Spain have some sparring with France on the peninsula, with Austria and Turkey biding their time. Looking forward to it.
Jeff
FYI For reference I've added a link below to a digital copy of the rules someone posted on BGG. They look to be the AH version of the rules with some house options added in Red. Ignore those.
